Technical Design Authority – Security Monitoring Centre area Brussels

Our client is implementing a group-level Security Monitoring Centre (SMC) in terms of architecture, processes, technologies and organisation taking into account existing capabilities. The project is looking for a Technical Design Authority (TDA) or Lead Architect to provide technical
direction and guidance.
Objective:
- The TDA will be the technical owner and subject matter expert of the project from contract signature to end of project delivery and be responsible for ensuring delivery the technical solution that has been sold to the customer. This includes but not limited to:
- Design and management of the SMC architecture
- Definition and maintenance of technology standards for the architecture building blocks, a scope that includes Platforms, Networks, Security tools, LMI and SIEM.
- Lead a team of Architects (when required)
- Manage and monitor the implementation of the SMC by the Integrator
- Support and / or represent the SMC project when needed.
Skills:
- Mandatory English. French is a plus.
- The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF), Zachman Framework or similar
- Business IT / Computer Science Degree or equivalent experience
- CISSP, CISM or GISP
- Extensive experience with Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems (IDS/IPS), Firewalls, Proxy Servers, Antivirus, Network Access Controls (NAC), Vulnerability Scanners or other network security infrastructure
- Experience with Log Management and Intelligence (LMI), Security Incident and Event Manager (SIEM), Security Operations Centre (SOC)
- Experience with large Information System architecture
- Management with a MSSP (for instance)
- Network and System security
- Technical knowledge of at least one SIEM product (e.g., ArcSight, RSA, LogLogic, Symantec, Novell, etc…)
- Familiarity with the integration of 3rd-party applications (ETL tools, data mining, business intelligence products)
- MSSP / SOC environment experience
Project:
- Start date: September 2010
- End date: 6 months, can be extended to 12 months.
- Area: Brussels, Occasional trips to Paris and pilot locations (Europe and USA).
